A Set of Two sofas 'PK 31/2' - Poul Kjærholm
sold
description
A set of two iconic 2 seater sofas, PK 31/2, designed by well known Danish architect and industrial designer Poul Kjærholm in 1958, manufactured and marked by E. Kold Christensen. PK 31 was designed both as a lounge chair and a modular seating element that could be joined in groups to create sofas of potentially infinite length. PK 31 is also a free standing, self contained object, which defines a cube of 76cm on each side, with the seat height at the midpoint, a realisation of Kjaerholm's life-long pursuit of finding a perfect form. This PK 31/2 sofa consists of a matt, chrome plated steel frame with seat, back and side panels made from wood and covered in dark brown leather. The sofas are in a very good condition. The original leather upholstery features a nice patina with a few small cuts - please refer to the pictures. The price is for the set, but they can be sold individually.
