An elegant, minimalist coffee table with a low level shelf designed by Dutch industrial designer Coen De Vries. Throughout his career, he made strong and rationally designed furniture, always striving for simplicity and functionality. Largely, Coen De Vries designs were made in small editions, therefore his furniture today is considered a rarity. The low table features a frame made of black lacquered metal, a table top of glass and a wooden shelf, perfect for storing small items like newspapers and magazines. In good authentic condition, with visible traces of wear consistent with age and use. The glass top has some scratches and two small holes, used in a production process to hang the glass for drying. Made by Tetex in the 1950’s.
