Pendant lamp LS-120 - Carlo Nason

description
This pendant lamp, the LS-120, consists of four layers of hand-blown opaline glass from the islands of Murano. This is, so far known, the only opaline version of this lamp.
The different parts have different diameters and can be placed in each other. Since they can only be assembled in one specific way to fit, we can see that every piece is unique. The juxtaposition of all these different parts creates a cascading shape. Through this, Nason achieved a nice diffusing effect when lit.
Carlo Nason is a renowned Italian glassmaker and lighting designer.
In the beginning of his career, he had the opportunity to design several lamps for Mazzega. Coming from a long line of glassmakers, he wanted to do something different than in the traditional vetreria and explore different forms. This is how the LS-120 was born.
The lamp is in very good condition. The chord length is adjustable according to the user’s preference.
From this model, two lamps are available. Their color differs slightly, one being whiter than the other.
