This sofa model MB18, or “Scissor Sofa”, named for the crossed shape of it’s legs was designed by Jan van Grunsven for UMS/Pastoe.Made in Utrecht as part of the Combex series, in 1957, at the time when van Grunsven was working for architect Gerrit Rietveld.
The sofa is re-upholstered in white woven Kvadrat fabric.
