RARE 1950S BRASS SPUTNIK FLOOR LAMP

An extremely rare “Sputnik” floor lamp adjustable in height, attributed to Stilnovo and manufactured in Italy around 1950. This impressive piece is made of high quality brass in a beautiful patinated. The base consists of three black-lacquered flat metal uprights that are slightly curved and equipped with additional brass elements. The several thin arms hold nicely shaped lightbulbs that each emits a nice bright light when lit. Surrounding the core are several extra coloured sticks which adds a nice touch of modernism. It remains in good, vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
