Model F585 is designed by Geoffrey Harcourt in the 1970's for Artifort in the Netherlands.

The chair consists of a metal sledge-shaped frame and its original black leather upholstery. This combination of materials is often found in Harcourt’s designs.

This version with the sledge base is rare and hard to find. Later redesigns were made with a plastic base.

Over the years a beautiful patina has developed, which shows the chair's signs of use and wear.
