A rare easy chair in ash with original brown bouclé upholstery. Made in the 1950s by Bovenkamp in Hilversum, The Netherlands. Bovenkamp meubel was founded in 1946 by Jacobus van den Bovenkamp and Sieuwert de Boer. Their production consists of well-made and functional furniture with solid, hardwood construction and clean, sculptural lines distinctly influenced by Mid Century Scandinavian design. However, this particular chair has a strong resemblance to the designs by Pierre Jeannerete.The chair is in a very good condition showing some traces of use, normal for its age.
