description

The chair model 'JK 770' was designed by Jørgen Kastholm in 1969. These chairs were part of a series of very luxurious office furniture produced by Kill International of Fellbach, Germany.
The seats and backs are upholstered in dark brown natural leather, mounted on polished stainless steel frames. The design of the frame, in the shape of a sledge, allows it to bend slightly, making it comfortable to sit on. This model was produced for a very short time, which explains its rarity.
Designer Jørgen Kastholm preferred a functionalist approach and a minimalist aesthetic, always aiming for simplicity and timelessness.
Jørgen Kastholm was previously part of an architectural duo with Preben Fabricius. Together they had a very fruitful time during these 7 years, with many successful designs, including for Kill International.
In 1968 they decided not to continue working together and each continued his own career. This often leads to the misunderstanding that various designs are attributed to both architects, which is unjustified.
After more than 50 years of use, the chairs are still in very good condition. They have a beautiful patina and show light signs of use, which is normal for their age.
