MURANO LAMP - 1960'S
description
This beautiful Space Age table lamp designed in the 1960's in Italy consists of clear Murano glass globe with airbubbles and a white 'membrame' which creates a beautiful partition when combined with the light source. The glass with the air bubbles is also called Pelegoso glass, these air bubbles, is made by injecting into the molten glass a component that reacts and releases gas bubbles. This technique was invented by Napoleone Martinuzzi at the Vennini glass factory in the 1920s.
The stainless steel base on which the large glass sphere rests allows it to be placed in different positions.
The lamp is still completely original and is in very good condition.
