perforated steel pendant lamp - 50-ties

description
This pendant lamp is made from perforated steel with brass elements, placed as to create the illusion of a floating part. The perforated steel parts remind us of Mathieu Matégot’s techniques. Furthermore, its style reminisces of Paavo Tynell’s and Florian Schulz’s similar lamps. It is a popular look which we can see return with many more designers.
The pendant lamp is in overall good shape and has acquired a nice patina over the years. The wire has been recoated.
