Monte Carlo 3-Seater Sofa in white bouclé

This is a rare three-seater sofa from the "Monte Carlo" series, designed by Ingvar Stockum in 1965. The production was handled by Futura Möbler, located in Tibro, which was the Swedish furniture manufacturing hub at the time. Due to high production costs associated with the solid wood frame, this model line was only manufactured for a brief two-year period, from 1965 to 1967.

The sofa features a frame constructed from solid rosewood. The design is finished on all sides with an open spindle frame along both the back and ends, allowing the sofa to be placed freestanding within a room.

The cushions of the sofa have been reupholstered. The textile used for the restoration is the Q532 Laundered quality from the Belgian weaving mill Libeco. This specific fabric is a heavy, piece-dyed linen-wool blend featuring a textured bouclé weave. The cushions feature a button-tufted finish, adhering to the layout of the original design. The frame remains in its original vintage condition, displaying wear consistent with the age of the object.
