Easy Chair - Knoll Int.
Warren Platner

This easy chair was originally designed in 1962, taking nearly four years of development to bring the design to life. Finally in 1966, Knoll released the Platner Collection of seating and tables.
The unmistakable curved, organic form of the Platner series, is created by welding hundreds of steel rods to circular frames. This process, in turn, provides both the structure and a decorative element. Warren Platner took his stylistic inspiration from as far back as the 18th-century, once saying about his seminal collection for Knoll that his design intent was to evoke “the kind of decorative, gentle, graceful kind of design that appeared in style periods like that of Louis XV.” ( French King of the 18th century)
This easy chair is completely restored and the foam and fabric have been completely replaced. It's in perfect condition, the chromed metal shows minimal signs of wear.
