description

A large conference desk model JK 204 designed in the end of 1969 by Jorgen Kastholm for Kill International in Germany.
Alfred Kill, the founder of Kill International, started the partnership with Preben Fabricius and Jorgen Kastholm in early 1960, which resulted with great success and secured a place in design history for Fabricius and Kastholm as well as Kill International. Their collaboration succeeded in creation of timeless designs with a focus on a functionalist approach and a minimalist aesthetic. In 1968 Preben and Jorgen went their separated way and Jorgen has continued to make designs for Kill International. This has been confirmed by his son, Thomas Kastholm who has the original drawings of this conference desk.
This very nice and early desk is made of rosewood veneer and has five black laminated drawers with multiple storage possibilities. The legs are made of chrome plated solid steel. The desk remains in very good original condition with some light traces of use. The frame shows some slight corrosion, as seen in the pictures.
